The cost of treating fluorosis depends on the option your stains need: a composite veneer is €70 per tooth, a lithium disilicate veneer €320 per tooth, and whitening with a cleaning €250. Microabrasion and resin infiltration have no row on the price list: we give you their fixed quote at the first visit, which is free.
What fluorosis is, why it appears and how to prevent it in children are covered on the page about dental fluorosis in Barcelona. This page is about price: what each option costs, what leads us to choose one or another, what is paid separately and how many appointments it takes.

What fluorosis treatment costs at the clinic
There’s no single price, because fluorosis isn’t always treated the same way. The option depends on how deep the stain goes, and two are often combined. These are the prices for each one:
- Microabrasion: no row on the price list; fixed quote at the first visit.
- Resin infiltration: also quoted at the first visit.
- Teeth whitening with a cleaning: €250.
- Composite veneer: €70 per tooth.
- Lithium disilicate veneer: €320 per tooth.
The three figures are the ones on our price list, published and fixed. For the first two options, the amount depends on how many teeth are stained, and we give it to you in writing before we start.
What each price pays for
Each option covers different work on the enamel, and it helps to know what goes into each one before comparing:
- Microabrasion. A very thin layer of the stained enamel is polished away. The tooth isn’t drilled down.
- Resin infiltration. A liquid resin is applied that soaks into the porous enamel and tones down the white of the stain, without using the drill.
- Whitening with a cleaning. The €250 covers an ultrasonic cleaning first and then the whitening, on the clean tooth.
- Composite veneer. The €70 per tooth covers a resin veneer built directly on your tooth, in one appointment and almost always without shaping the tooth.
- Lithium disilicate veneer. The €320 per tooth pays for a ceramic made in a laboratory, which usually requires removing a thin layer of enamel.
What the price depends on
These are the things that decide the final bill for fluorosis treatment:
- How deep the stain is. If it’s on the surface, microabrasion or infiltration is usually enough. If it’s deep or the enamel has pits, veneers are needed.
- How many stained teeth show. Veneers are paid per tooth, so treating the two upper front teeth doesn’t cost the same as treating the whole smile.
- Whether options are combined. Whitening often goes together with microabrasion or infiltration, and then their two prices add up.
- The veneer material. Composite and lithium disilicate have very different prices per tooth, and each one suits a type of stain.
The first thing we do is confirm that the stain is fluorosis. The stains of a cavity that’s just starting look very similar and aren’t treated the same way, so that check comes before any quote.
What isn’t included and what it costs
Anything that isn’t treatment of the stain is charged at its price-list rate, and we tell you at the same assessment. These are the usual ones:
- Filling: €40 per tooth, if a white spot turns out to be a cavity.
- Dental cleaning: €30, if you’re getting veneers and there’s tartar to remove first.
- Smile design: €260, if you’ll have veneers on several teeth and want to see beforehand how your smile will look.
How many appointments it takes and how long
The first appointment is the assessment, at no cost: we look at how deep the stain goes, rule out other causes and tell you which option makes sense and what it costs. From there, the number of visits depends on what you choose.
A composite veneer is done in a single visit. A lithium disilicate veneer needs two or more, because it’s made in the laboratory in between. Microabrasion and infiltration don’t involve shaping the tooth, and the quote tells you how many sessions we estimate for your case.

Common questions about the cost of fluorosis treatment
How much does it cost to treat dental fluorosis in Barcelona?
At the clinic it depends on the option: €70 per tooth for a composite veneer, €320 per tooth for lithium disilicate and €250 for whitening with a cleaning. Microabrasion and infiltration are quoted at the first visit, which is free.
Do I have to treat fluorosis?
No. It usually changes only the color of the tooth, not how it works, and it’s treated only if you’re bothered by how it looks. Finding out whether it’s worth treating costs nothing: the assessment is free.
Are veneers for fluorosis paid per tooth?
Yes. Each composite veneer costs €70 and each lithium disilicate veneer €320. The total depends on how many stained teeth show when you smile, and you have it in writing before we start.
How much does it cost to have you look at my child’s stains?
Nothing: the first pediatric dentistry visit costs €0, and you leave it with a written plan. If the stains are fluorosis, we explain whether treating them makes sense and which fluoride routine fits your child’s age.
