At the clinic, what dentures and other dental prostheses cost depends on what is being replaced and how it is held in place: a zirconia or porcelain crown costs €270, a full removable denture €540 per arch, and an implant with its crown €1,100. The first visit, with an exam, an X-ray and a written quote, is free.
Here we bring together what each type of prosthesis costs and what moves the total. What sets a fixed prosthesis apart from a removable one, and how to choose between them, is explained on the page about dental prosthesis in Barcelona, and everything about a single crown, in the article on dental crowns.

What each type of prosthesis costs
These are list prices for different things, and each one answers a different situation in your mouth:
- Zirconia or porcelain crown: €270 per tooth. It covers a badly damaged tooth of your own, and it is also the price of each unit in a bridge.
- Crown on an implant: €370. It is the visible piece that goes on the implant, and the price includes the abutment that joins the two.
- Implant with its crown: €1,100. The whole tooth, titanium root and visible crown, at a closed price.
- Full removable denture: €540 per arch. The denture that rests on the gum and comes out for cleaning.
- Fixed porcelain prosthesis on eight implants: €9,700. A whole arch of fixed teeth that you do not take out at home.
A partial removable denture, the kind that replaces some teeth and clips onto the ones you still have, has no single price on the list: it depends on how many teeth it replaces and how it is held in place, and we give you the amount in writing at the first visit.
What makes the total go up or down
Two things weigh more than the material. The first is how many teeth are missing. A bridge is charged per unit, each at the price of a crown, so a three-unit bridge costs three times €270. The second is what the prosthesis rests on: your own teeth, implants or the gum.
When many or all teeth are missing, the price gap is wide. A removable denture costs less, needs no surgery and is ready in a few weeks. A fixed one on implants does not come out, but it needs surgery and months of waiting. In between there is a middle option, a removable denture that clips onto two implants, which holds much better and is quoted at the assessment.
What the price includes
- The material and the brand, in writing on the quote, before anything starts.
- A try-in before it is finished. The teeth are set in wax and tried in your mouth to correct the color, the shape and the bite.
- The shade chosen with a shade guide, right next to your own teeth.
- For prostheses on implants, the implant study beforehand, with an X-ray and a bone scan, which costs nothing.
What could be added
If bone or gum needs to be rebuilt before the prosthesis, that comes up at the same assessment, with its amount on the written quote. That is also where we see whether your case allows fixed temporary teeth on the same day with immediate loading.
If you clench or grind your teeth at night, a night guard, at €260, protects teeth, crowns and prostheses from wear. Over the years, a removable denture does not usually need replacing: as the gum underneath changes, it gets relined, with the base filled in so it fits again, and if a tooth breaks off, it is repaired without starting from scratch.
How many visits it takes and how long
It depends on the type, and we give you the exact schedule in writing:
- Free assessment, with an exam, an X-ray and the plan.
- Impressions, to make the prosthesis to your measurements.
- Wax try-in, to adjust color, shape and bite before it is finished.
- Placement or delivery, with whatever adjustments are needed.
A removable denture is ready in a few weeks. A fixed one on your own teeth takes more visits, because those teeth have to be reshaped, and that cannot be undone. With implants, surgery comes first, followed by months of waiting before the permanent teeth go in.
Getting used to it also takes time: a few days with a fixed one, a few weeks with a removable one. If a sore spot shows up, it is fixed by adjusting the base at the clinic.
What it costs to look after it
A prosthesis needs a checkup once a year as a minimum, because the fit, the gum and the bone change over time. Porcelain and zirconia do not get cavities, but the natural tooth holding a crown or a bridge can get them along the edge, and that is one of the reasons bridges are lost. Catching it in time saves you paying for a new one.
