Cosmetic dentistry cost in Barcelona: the price of each treatment

Cosmetic dentistry does not have a single price: it costs whatever the treatment that fixes what bothers you costs. On our price list, whitening with a cleaning is €250, a composite veneer is €70 per tooth and smile design is €260. Your plan, with the price closed, comes out of the first visit, which is free.

Which treatments fall under cosmetic dentistry and what each one is for is covered on the page about cosmetic dentistry in Barcelona. Here we sort the prices by the problem they solve, so you know where your quote is likely to land before you come in.

How much cosmetic dentistry costs at the clinic

Almost everything that brings someone in for a cosmetic treatment is one of five things. Each one has its own solution and its own line on the clinic’s price list:

  • Yellow teeth. Teeth whitening with a cleaning, €250.
  • A chipped or misshapen tooth. A resin reconstruction, €50; a composite veneer, €70 per tooth; a lithium disilicate veneer, €320 per tooth; or a zirconia or porcelain crown, €270, if the tooth is badly damaged.
  • Too much gum when you smile. Gingivectomy, €30 per tooth or €250 per arch.
  • Crooked teeth. Invisible orthodontics, from €1,490, depending on how many aligners your case needs.
  • A gap. A dental implant with its crown, €1,100; the implant study beforehand is free of charge.

Many smiles need two of these, for example straightening and then whitening. In that case the quote adds up both lines and tells you which order they go in.

What the cosmetic quote includes

What you take home from the first visit is not a stand-alone figure but a written plan with the alternatives compared side by side. For each option you will see:

  • What it costs, with the price list lines involved.
  • How long it takes, in weeks or in months.
  • How much of the tooth has to be touched, and whether it can be undone.
  • How often it needs a checkup and what it costs to maintain.

Smile design, if you choose it, has its own line: for €260 your smile is simulated with photos and a scan, then tried in your mouth with temporaries before anything permanent is done.

What the price depends on

Two people asking for the same thing can leave with very different quotes. These are the reasons:

  • How many teeth are involved. Veneers are paid per tooth: touching up one incisor does not cost the same as changing the whole visible part of the smile.
  • What needs treating first. Cavities, tartar or bleeding gums are treated first, and their price is added to the plan.
  • The material. Between a composite veneer and a lithium disilicate one, the price per tooth changes a lot, and so does how much enamel has to be shaped.
  • Whether there is a route that leaves the enamel alone. Sometimes a case that looked like veneers can be solved with orthodontics, which takes longer and removes no enamel. We give you both options with their price.

What is not included and what it costs

Anything that is not part of the cosmetic treatment is charged at its list price, and it goes in the plan from the start, not as a surprise later on. The usual ones:

  • Oral cleaning: €30, to remove tartar before whitening or bonding veneers.
  • Filling: €40 per tooth. A veneer is not bonded over a cavity, so the cavity is closed first.
  • Scaling and root planing: €60, when the gums have periodontitis pockets.
  • Root canal: from €175, if a dark tooth has a damaged nerve that has to be treated before lightening or covering it.
  • Night guard: €260, if you clench your teeth and the veneers need protecting at night.
  • Retainers: €70 for the fixed one and €60 for the removable one for both arches, once orthodontics is finished.

How many visits it takes and how long

It always starts the same way: a free first visit where we look at what bothers you, what has to be solved first and which options you have. After that, the schedule depends on the treatment.

In-office whitening is done in one session, and composite veneers in one visit. Lithium disilicate veneers take more appointments because they are made in the lab, and if there is smile design, you wear the temporaries for a few days first. Invisible orthodontics is the one that takes months rather than weeks.

Questions about the cost of cosmetic dentistry

How much does cosmetic dentistry cost in Barcelona?

At the clinic it ranges from €30 for a single-tooth gingivectomy to the €1,490 where invisible orthodontics starts, with whitening and a cleaning at €250 in between. Your exact figure comes out of the first visit, which is free.

Is smile design paid for separately?

Yes, it has its own line on the price list: €260. With it you see the simulation of your smile and try it in your mouth before deciding on the treatment, which is quoted separately.

Does the quote include what it costs to maintain the result?

Yes. Whitening touch-ups, veneer checkups and a night guard, if you clench your teeth, are in the plan from the start, with their price. The night guard, for example, costs €260.

Do I have to pay for the initial assessment?

No. The first visit, with an X-ray, a scan and a written plan comparing the alternatives, is free and does not commit you to starting.
