Lingual braces don’t have a set price on our price list: we give you a fixed quote at the first visit, which is free, and you have it in writing before you decide. That quote already covers the retainers at the end, and the main thing that changes it is whether you wear lingual braces on both arches or only on the upper one.
If you’d like to know first how this appliance works, it’s explained on the page about lingual braces in Barcelona. This page is only about money: what goes into the price, what raises or lowers it, how many appointments it takes and how to ask for a quote with no commitment.

How much lingual braces cost at the clinic
Lingual braces are made for your mouth, piece by piece, from a scan of your teeth. That’s why they don’t have a catalog price: the amount comes out of your study, with the movement plan for each tooth, and it’s fixed before you start. The price doesn’t change halfway through treatment.
What our price list does show is the other kind of orthodontics you can’t see from the front, in case you want a reference before coming in: invisible orthodontics starts at €1,490, depending on how many aligners your case needs. On that list, retainers are separate lines: €70 for a fixed retainer and €60 for a removable one for both arches.
Lingual braces cost more than braces worn on the outside of the teeth, because each piece is designed and made for you and fitting them takes more chair time.
What the lingual braces quote includes
The quote you take home covers treatment from start to finish. Specifically, it includes:
- The initial study, with X-rays, photos and a scan of both arches.
- The design and manufacture of the brackets and wires for the inner side of your teeth.
- The fitting appointment, using a guide made from that same design.
- The checkups where the wire is adjusted or changed.
- The retainers fitted at the end to keep the teeth from shifting back.
Having the retainers included matters when you compare quotes: in other orthodontic treatments they appear as a separate line on the price list.
What the price depends on
Two lingual cases can have different quotes. These are the main reasons:
- One arch or both. You can wear lingual braces on the upper teeth, where they show more when you talk, and regular braces on the outside of the lower teeth. That combination costs less than wearing them on the inside of both arches.
- The movements your case needs. Some corrections work well from the inside and others are harder; the study tells us whether your case is planned with lingual braces or with another option.
- Anything that needs treating first. If we find a cavity or tartar, it’s taken care of before anything is bonded.
What isn’t included and what it costs
Anything that isn’t part of the orthodontics is charged at its price-list rate, and we tell you at the same visit. The usual cases:
- Oral cleaning: €30, if it’s better to start with your mouth free of tartar.
- Filling: €40 per tooth, if there’s a cavity to treat first.
If lingual braces aren’t a good fit for your case, we explain which discreet alternative would work for it and what it costs, such as ceramic braces or aligners.
How many appointments it takes and how long it lasts
There are two main appointments, separated by the time it takes to make your braces. At the first one we do the study and the scan; then there’s a wait while your pieces are designed and made, so treatment doesn’t start the same day. The second is the fitting, which takes longer than any other appointment in the treatment.
After that come regular checkups to adjust the wire and, at the end, retention. How many months it all takes depends on how much the teeth need to move, and that timeline is also written into your plan. If you have a date in mind, like a wedding or a trip, tell us about it at the study.
How to get your quote
The first step is the study visit, which isn’t charged. You can book it by calling +34 639 65 33 51, Monday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., and Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. You can also book an appointment online and we’ll call you to set the day.
If you’d like to know before coming in whether your case can be treated with braces on the inside, tell us about it through the online dental consultation and we’ll give you a first opinion.
Frequently asked questions
How much do lingual braces cost in Barcelona?
At the clinic they don’t have a set price on the price list, because they’re custom-made for each mouth. We give you a fixed quote in writing at the first visit, which is free, and it already includes the retainers at the end.
Why do lingual braces cost more than braces on the outside?
Because each bracket and each wire is designed for the inner side of your teeth and made in a lab, and because fitting them takes more chair time than bonding braces to the front of the teeth.
Is it cheaper to wear lingual braces only on the upper teeth?
Yes. Lingual braces on the upper arch and regular braces on the outside of the lower arch cost less than wearing them on the inside of both. If that combination works for your case, we suggest it with its price at the study.
Are the retainers paid for separately?
Not with lingual braces: they’re part of the fixed quote. Only what isn’t orthodontics is charged separately, like a €30 cleaning or a €40 filling, if they’re needed before you start.
How much does the initial study cost?
Nothing. The first visit, with X-rays, photos, a scan and a written quote, is free and doesn’t commit you to starting.
